Title: new purchase ?

what do i need to know when looking at a 2.6 cd apart from obvious leaks do they have any weak points.
Am looking at this as my 2.5 cdx is dead at present i may sell it for spares just put 4 brand new tyres on it

nothing that you wont already be familiar with - usual front suspension wear etc.  Check EML comes on and goes off with ignition - there is a 'problem' with the precats on these.

I have found on the last four 2.6's I have worked on that the oil cooler banjo bolt ali washers have leaked oil, maybe a coincendence but strange... so if you smell oil or can see a drop around the sump wouldn't be suprised if it was that..
