Hi Guys
I've had my 2001 2.6 CD now since January adn done around 4k, Should I think about servicing the vehicle and if so what should I be looking at changing?
Cheers
-
Do you Know when the last service was?
when not then do a service, ie. air, fuel, oil filters And oil. check breaks, change if needed.
-
I would change the oil if i was you. I do mine about every 4000miles with Vauxhalls own brand :y
-
Thanks guys, I thought I'd heard somewehere that the oil should be changed around the 3-4k mark but was never sure...
Is it a reasonanly easy job to do on the driveway?

Where's the best place to buy parts ie Main dealer or Halfords?
:)
-
main dealer on trade club matey ! and resize your avatar its covering text ! :y
-
people here mainly get service parts from the dealer, providing you have some sort of tradecard access (can be obtained for £20 per year by joining autobahstomers etc)
there oil is then very good, and cheap (you buy 4x5litres for £30)
other parts also cheap enough there, and often much better quality than pattern, eg airfilters are twice the thickness of halfords ones, but mann ones are about the same

General service items I tend to use genuine GM parts, as on TC, normally cheaper than pattern, and superior quality. Some things I use pattern as some GM parts are expensive

Thanks Guys,
Can you obtain the parts on-line?
