Further to my previous problem of hesitation and cutting out, I had the same problem again today. Been driving it around today and it's been fine. Tonight I pop home to get something and as I dip the clutch to come to a stop the engine dies. Keeps doing it at junctions unless I keep the revs up. Anyway, it keeps hesitating and jerking as if there is no fuel. I read the fault codes to find only a 31 and the 74 i discovered had cleared itself. After this journey I read the fault codes again and found the 74 had reappeared.
The strange thing is the fact that this time the fuel light came on. Then a mile later starting flashing. Yet the MID still shows 74miles Range. Previously I have had the MID displaying less than 30 and no problems at all so I do not thing that lack of fuel is the problem, unless it is fuel starvation.
At a loss now, any ideas? Is it worth getting it on a Tech II now?
Thanks

same issues as your previous thread afaict...?
Possible maf issue, wiring possibly the plug itself? Try unplugging the maf next time it plays up, if it runs better, would confirm a maf related issue.
Remove and clean idle controle valve with carb cleaner and lube with a light oil. This controles tick over and can clog up. Silver mustard pot pass side of plenum.
Could also be crank sensor. But you have no code 19.
Failing that KEVIIIIN......

Yes, same as other thread. Only started this one due to the strange happenings of the fuel light.
I will try your suggestions, the thing is though, the problem is intermittant so I never know when it will happen. Tonight it stopped as suddenly as it started and carried on as normal.
