Title: Auto box problems
Post by: Davidcr on 27 June 2009, 19:51:10
After a few miles the autobox drops into safe mode with the electronic transmisson light showing up on the dashboard. There is no real acceleration and it is a drag to drive. Any ideas what the problem is ?

Could be a sign of low atf, if its been more than 50,000m since it was last changed, I'd be inclined to replace the atf

I would suggest posting more symptoms as well. spending money on atf may seem an economical first step, but if it achieves noting may be money wasted. Pls add more vehicle details as well
