Title: Drop links
Post by: Toby on 30 June 2009, 21:42:39
Looking at getting my drop links from Euro, looking on the site there are 4 different ones. Two of which are Lemforder which are the ones I'm after.

Which of the two do I need to do the two front links?

These... (http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Vauxhall_Omega_3.0_1999/p/Car-Parts/Suspension-and-Steering/Suspension/Anti-Roll-Bar-and-Components/?632720065&1&aebe039302565cd0ca816cd989df537c8a515291)

or these... (http://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/c/Vauxhall_Omega_3.0_1999/p/Car-Parts/Suspension-and-Steering/Suspension/Anti-Roll-Bar-and-Components/?632720065&1&a99bc08906fce0930e58259d2f8a0ec75ed22091)

Going to do droplinks and exhaust this month, then maybe filters and fluids next month along with some other bits. Decided against wishbones for now as for all I know they could be fine.

Now do I get the tracking done when it goes in for its retest or do it after I've done the drop links?

errr, they are identical, right down to the part numbers.
Droplinks should not affect the tracking, but if you are in any doubt, get it done before you realise your tyres are U/S!

Ahh right, hadn't noticed that!  :-[

I know that, but the tracking needs doing I think. I'm just wondering when to get it done as I don't want to disturb it to have to do it again further down the line. There is also the possibility that I might change the steering idler soon so is it best to leave it til once I've done that?

Hmmm, I don't think the idler will affect tracking either, although I stand to be corrected. The Company do specify a different drop link for the Diesel versions, never seen that before.
