Title: ABS Trade Card refused

Went to pick up soem brake pads - they refused to take my ABS trade club card.

What should I do?

I WILL be writing to the owner of the garages.

Depends whether they participate in the trade club, my local penfolds one does'nt e.g., at lewisham, so I would have to go to the Penfolds at penge to use the ABS trade club card. Same company etc., but only one takes trade club, if that makes sense.

Depends whether they participate in the trade club, my local penfolds one does'nt e.g., at lewisham, so I would have to go to the Penfolds at penge to use the ABS trade club card. Same company etc., but only one takes trade club, if that makes sense.

Sent them an email asking them to sort it out, threatening to take my business to a dealer not too far from work.

If they had taken it this would have paid for my years membership >:(

As Mike said, the question is did they refuse your TC card because it was ABS, or because they do not participate in the TC scheme? If the latter then they are right in not wanting to sell you on TC....

I thought that TC was a national thing, and not dependant on a single Dealers :o :o

Not all dealers participate in TC.

I am not keen at all on the dealers.

The Worcester dealer is the one I have a problem with

I am sure when you are sent the Trade Card it comes with a letter, so that if you do have any problems like you have the dealers can phone. :y

Yes, the card should have come with a note saying who the dealer needs to call if they are not sure about the card to confirm its authenticity.

Sometimes they may insist on 'setting it up on their system' which can additionally take a day or 2.

Yes it is my local Vauxhall Dealer - took over Wadham Stringer/Kenning
