What is the difference between:
64 - Fuel Quantity Control Out of Range
and
97 - Wrong Fuelpump Adjustment
also...
Would just disconnecting the MAF sensor bring up:
88 - Air Mass Flow Sensor Voltage High
I disconnected it to see if it made a difference as it's not quite right yet after changing the injector pump, but like a numpty I didn't paper clip before hand to check for any codes.
Reconnected the MAF and paperclipped to find 64, which is probably (hopefully) the old code from the original injector pump fault and just needs to be cleared. Also, code 88 has now joined the party.
Disconnecting the MAF made no difference to the running.
Does this mean there is an issue with the MAF or is the code showing due to my disconnecting it earlier ?

need to adjust pump timing ;)

It starts on the button every time, but it has a very slightly uneven idle and on a neutral throttle position there is a slight judder at speed and and below 20 mph it seems I have used a little Kangaroo additive instead of Diesel Magic.
The MAF code 88 has now gone, so it must have been me disconnecting it that triggered that.
34 (Injector Timing Out Of Range)
64 (Fuel Quantity Control Out of Range)
were showing this afternoon.
34 has now gone.
64 still showing.
It is possible (but a right old fiddle) to access the three pump securing nuts with the inlet manifold in place, 13mm spanner for the bottom nut, 12mm spanner for the nut nearest the battery side and a 12mm socket, knuckle adaptor and long ratchet extension for the engine side nut, so I slackened them off a little and tried pivoting the pump, but I suspect the injector pipes were holding the pump in the original position, as it made no difference at all, even with the nuts completely free.
Would it be best to get hold of the guages and set it properly or would you recomend having another go at doing it manually ?
Re: Original post.
Just to clarify, 97 hasn't appeared, 64 is showing.
I was just curious how they differed. :y
