did someone on here find a way of making decent headlight adjusters
ive just fitted a hid conversion kit and noticed that the 1 adjuster had broke
can anyone point me in the right direction to the person who made them

i know somebody was looking into getting them made but dont think its happened as yet, i used old style adjusters but had to extend them as they are shorter :y

i'm looking at replacing all 4 i know 2 have broke for sure but the head lamp aim is spot on where they are

I stripped the projectors I fitted to the elite and rebuilt the broken ones with Arildite. Left it cure for 24 hours before re-assembly and they ran on the threads same as the originals would have. :y

problem ive got is that i can't have the car off the road for 2 long as its used all the while
the only possible way i could do it is to strip them on a saturday and put them back together on a sunday night
are they straight forward to strip down and rebuild :question

In this hot weather maybe a bit easier :y I have taken a couple of them apart they are basicaly held together with a silicone type compound that has to be split apart a good strong screwdriver and stanley knife are the best things to use . But do not expect it to be a five minute job ::)
I have never had an luclk sticking the adjusters back together to be honest. I binned mine and made some up from stainless steel a bit of welding and bobs your uncle . I would share the design but I am buggered if I am going to take it apart ::)
I think it was MarkDTM that was looking in too having something made :y

Yes especially in this heat! Takes maybe an hour to disassemble and repair and 20 mins to put back together. Araldite has a curing time of 6-8 hours I left mine 24 to set fully but it was back in Feb I did mine :y

might get stuck into it then on saturday
and just make sure its back together by sunday night

the best way to take them apart is by heating up the edges with a hair dryer & prising apart as you go :y
