Title: front suspension "klonks"
Post by: mc9 on 03 July 2009, 07:37:13
1999 2.5TD.

When driving over speed bumps or any pothole, the front suspension emits a load klonk. You can almost  feel the impact, quite alarming really.

Any obvious reasons for this? And is it easy / cheap to fix by me or garage?

Cheers

Mine had the same problem, slight knocking from one side. Changed the drop links and still the same, replaced front shock's and fitted another used top strut mount i had in the shed, and no more knocking.   :y :y
