Title: Noise - squeak in engine bay [video]
Post by: zYx on 23 April 2009, 10:37:14
Please take a look at this video:

as you can see something is coming out of power steering pump area.
I am quite sure that this pump is making that noise, but not 100%.
I tried to switch kompressor on and off and no difference. Tensioner is fine, alternator is fine.

Thanks in advance for any ideas :)

sounds like a  bearing try holding the belt of the the tensioner and see if there is any movement on the bearings from side to side if there is play then bearing buggered needs changeing before it collappes hope this helps :y

Power steering works perfectly, fluid level is ok and there is no movement.

Strangly since i ran the engine without fanbelt on (to see where is the noise coming from) the noise is not that loud anymore (with fanbelt back on)

...different wheels position? ::) ::)

Just so you know, replacing fan belt helped :)
There is no noise now :)
