Title: Dirty headlight

My nearside headlight glass/plastic/perspex whatever it is, is becoming discoloured. Does anybody know of a product that will polish back to a clear finish. Any other suggestions (other than replacing!)? 8-)

Brasso, t-cut, polishing compound, alloy wheel cleaner and finish off with plastic polish.

As Nick said dishwasher works bext, T-cut will do the trick though  :y

Just a thought. How the hell do you put it in the dishwasher? Don't think wife would like car in there ;D

If you did decide to put it in the dishwasher (I wouldnt) you would have to take the clear plastic off of the rest of the assembly .
Your best bet is as said the t cut option and loads of elbow grease . If you do a search on here others have used very very fine sandpaper  :y

As mine where such a mess I decided to replace them .Be carefull if you go that route as original lenses are a straight swap but if you buy Depso aftermarket units they don,t have the cut out locating lugs and are a bit of a pain to relocate .
Mind now look like new and transform front of car..looks like it just left the showroom on day 1.

I didnt know you could buy new lenses. where did you get them?

i put mine in the dishwasher it was me that told nick about it then when its done in the dishwasher t-cut it quickly and they will come up like brand new  :y

New lenses are not available as a part,but if you source a set of new headlights for correcty model at a good price then it is a fairly simple job to swop just the lense covers onto a set of Xenon,s to transform them to new.
As said you need to be carefull with the aftermarket Depso make as they don,t have all the plastic lugs and are secured only by metal spring clips,which then require a bit of modification to get to seal,but a lot cheaper than new Xenons,if you could still now get them.
