cant get into my car!!! just come back off holiday so battery may be flat.. wont open from fob or key tried both sets of keys any ideas!! its N reg elite..
cheers

try the key again....hard turn
it should go, the button may not pop up, but try the handle anyway :y

If the vehicle battery is flat, you should be able to trickle charge it by using the number plate lamp fitting. Once there is some charge, it should open.

I'd say the battery must be well flat for that to be the case. I'm pretty sure it should open with key though :-?. It may be a little stiff if you've not used the key for a while, even possible it may never have been used to open the car.
Are both locks the original locks ? It's possible for both to have been changed and are not matched to the ignition key. How long have you had the car ? Have you any other "spare" keys somewhere ?
::) Hmm..lots of questions there, but not many answers ! ;D

Use the key in the boot lock then:
a) climb over seats to release bonnet
b) use boot aux 12V socket to charge battery
Worked on our 1996 Elite Estate when we had it laid up

No use if it's not an estate though.
Micevo, up-date your profile with car details so we know the model etc. :y

Your lights would need to ne in the 'ON' position for you to be able to use the number plate light.
Use the boot light! Just connect another battery/charger up to the termninals of the light for a couple of mins. This'll power up you car enough for the remote to pop you locks or the key to opperate them from the door in the old fashioned way! :y

cheers will try that :y

Andy b thanks :y that worked

Still don't understand why the key would not open the drivers door, irrelevant of whether the battery was charged or completely dead. :-?

Neither could I when I had the same problem :-/, but there was nothing doing at the lock. The way I described got me into my car though! :y
