can anyone tell me if the front dampers on the 2.5 elites are the same as the mv6 or are they different,got mv6 springs to put on but dont want to fit if the dampers are wrong

depends what you mean by correct. Will they fit? Yes. But the risk is that the damping rates will be different and not sure how the lower springs ride hight(15 mill i beleive?) will affect, means your original shocks will sit nearer the bump stops so you may run out of travel a bit earlier. Not a likely scenario possibly, depends how correct you want to be.
I beleive new shocks on trade club are about 45 plus expensis from vx. Which i didnt think was toooo bad?
Can be a pain to get other model shocks without a chassis number from that model. Unless you know of a car of the right spec. and quote that chassis number to your parts man. :-)

just wondered if the damping rate would be the same before i asemble them with mv6 springs

dont think so mate. Personally would get the correct shocks to match the springs. Either second hand or new.

Hi is my sport 2.2 estate suspension the same as the mv6 i have 235,45,17  wheels on and can you tell me if 205,45,17 is safe to put on my wheels because i put my  mates 205,50,16 wheeles on and it cured my tramlining problem

Your suspension is not the same as mv6.
Wider wheels are more prone to tramlining. But its more than possible the tires are causing the issue. Some are more prone to it than others.

Wheels will fit but i would stick with the standard/widest ones if poss. Bigger contact patch on the road.

sorted my wondering tramlining sterering after cheking replacing bushes and tyers to no avail i had 235,45.17 continentels tyers replaced with 225,55,16 wheels continentals diferent car handles alot better
