my mate has a 2.5 v6 he's just had the head gasket done and now it's getting very hot...not quite in the red but nearly and it keeps stalling in traffic maybe 3 times in a short journey

Are the radiator hoses and radiator its self getting hot when the engine is hot? If so, that rules out the thermostat being stuck.
Also are the cooling fans coming on at the correct time?
Temp should get to about 97c on the guage then the fans should kick in to cool it down again.

Oh I've just noticed you're on LPG, is this happening while running on LPG or petrol? or both?

Its not his car, its his mates as he mentioned at the top.

I suspect an airlock someware/incorrectly fitted waterpump which would cause head issues. Not sure on why that would cause it to stall though

do a paper clip test and post up codes
