anyone tried fitting a 2.5tdi auto into a facelift 03 omega which has at the moment a 2.6 v6 manual box. Is it possible, and are the wiring looms in place for the electrical connections etc.?

not a job I'd fancy doing, there would be a hole heap of wiring to do.

Same thoughts here ........ don't reckon it's worth all the inevitable hassle that's involved!

i have a 325 tds and replaced it with an 2.2 dti i prefer the omega its better on fuel its more responsive at lower rev range and better gearing than the bmw i would be looking for a diesel omega than doing that conversion
if thats any help to you

I already have the donor parts, but I was wondering if the loom was already in place or will I have to make one up for the bm 2.5 lump? I have already isolated the underbonnet loom for the engine which is in the donor vehicle. The 2.6 v6 which I have at the moment has developed oil pump problems and the big ends are rattling because of this.
