Title: Exhaust Manifold Gasket
Post by: mike213735 on 12 July 2009, 21:05:24
Hi all,

After changing the downpipe gasket on my '98 3.0, to try and stop the flutter I have there when cold, it looks like I am going to have to do the actual manifold gasket.

I have heard that the passengers side is a nightmare, but the drivers side, not too bad. Can anyone confirm this?

My problem is on the drivers side and my question is, how easy (or not) is this job?

Thanks
Mike

I would be interested in knowing this myself as I have also noticed a fluttering noise when cold from the passenger side.

Drivers side is 3-4 hours for an experienced person (I did one in the lakes in a field in sub 3 hours so it cant be to hard).

Not to bad a job just a few bits to remove to get at it
