Oooh, yes. I remember watching the opera scene at a Hi-Fi show with about 40k's worth of Meridian Audio surround sound kit providing the tunes and a huge plasma screen and a load of Snell and Wilcox video gear doing the picture. Bearing in mind this was 10 years ago, long before talk of HD (well, not today's variety, anyway) it was pretty special at the time.

.. but for lasting appeal, can't beat a bit of Python. Every time I watch The Life Of Brian or The Holy Grail I nearly split my sides and I can't see me ever getting over that.

Italian Job
The Great Escape
Any of the old classic war films - 633 Squad/Dambusters/Guns of Navarone/Longest Day type.
Bit of a Bond fan, though Die Another Day was appalling. The Connery ones, and most of the Brosnan ones are pretty good imho, but I particularly like the Dalton ones, and the Craig one (which I started watching last night) is bloody excellent.
