Title: Retro fitting cruise control
Post by: megaOmega on 15 July 2009, 13:09:02
Hi, as i am hell bent on getting a 2.0 omega not a v6 after looking at an engine bay on the internet and the fact that you need "Double Jointed Fingers" to change the cam belt.

I have heared that you can fit Cruise control, can you do this on the 2.0, i doubt the one i will be getting will have fly by wire so is it still possible?

If i fing the stalk can i just plug it into the ECU without a ECU upgrade?

any help please.... ::)

the 2.0 can support cruise (normally) 1 or 2 havent had the loom.

you need a stalk, actuator motor (with cable long enough for a 2.0, quite rare), and pedal switches

v6's aint that bad to work on with a little practise.

So... are all 2.0's NOT fly by wire

i just like the idea of a plug and play mod.

2.2's are drive by wire, 2.0's are not

even with the cable operated models, its just another unit to plug in  :-/

the pedal switches are more awkward!
