Title: world gone mad
Post by: miggy on 29 November 2007, 18:44:50
The teacher who named a teddy after Mohammed has been given 15 days in prison, then she will be deported.

ITS ABOUT TIME OUR GOVERMENT STARTED TO DEPORT.

World gone mad, i understand that their religion must be respected, but that is double standards because i am sure their faith does not say anywhere about going out and taking life by carrying out acts of TERRORISM.

If i offend anyone who is a follower of this faith i apologise,

TOTALLY agree, but this will never happen, poor woman will have to do the 15 days, wish i was a millionaire, I WOULD pay mercaneries to go and get her, and belive me there are people out there that would do it if the price was right.

I am pleased to see that all the normal everyday Muslims are as annoyed as the average Briton, they are so annoyed that the sudanese authorities are ruining everything and making their religion appear as a joke.

Their religion preaches tolerance!! These sudanese idiots are teaching intolerance

I really feel the the ordinary person who has to put up with petty minded beaurocrates ruining things for everyone.

Firstly I think this punishment is extreme >:(

I am not a religious person, but what if one of Our children came home with a teddy bear and the class teacher had named it "God" or "Jesus" would that be right? would that upset anyone?
I wouldn't think that was right personally..
Just because Our country is losing its way with religion doesn't mean others are.
I went to Majorca a few years ago and saw their Police battering a bloke then when KO'd they dragged him into a Cop Car....
Brits know when they go over to Spain if they are stupid they will get it, no messing about, that is a fact..
If that happened over here the Copper would be in more trouble than the criminal, is this right?
I don't think going to war is the right answer...

I think this is a bit muddled...

"..Our country is losing its way with religion.."

I think our country is one of the most open when it comes to religion.  Schools are teaching our kids to recognise that there may be more than one valid religion; and I think many people are open to the idea that having no religion at all is a perfectly acceptable viewpoint too.

"Brits know when they go over to Spain if they are stupid they will get it, no messing about, that is a fact.."

Fine - but this is more to do with law & order rather than religion surely?

Cheers,
Baz.

I'm guessing the geezer who got a leathering off the Spanish police was being a drunken tw*t/ thief/violent in which case i agree with you & our forces should be allowed to take a harder line to deal with those who deserve it instead of some silly "order" or other.
I doubt they laid into him for calling a teddy Manuel though. :o

I cant believe that any sane person no matter what their religion would consider having the children in the class name the class teddy bear Mohamed as a blasphemous act......its one of the most common names in Sedan anyway!

Its bloody stupid.

The best of it is that Sudan has BIG problems and there is a woman who is devoting her life to try and help improve things.....and this happens.

The only answer is.....get out, pull the aid, stop the immigration from Sudan and chuck the diplomats out....

Look what's happening now...

Thousands have taken to the street calling for her to be excecuted.

Religion has caused countless wars and millions of unnecessary deaths...plus, you will NEVER win an argument against religion as there is no logic to it. Before anyone jumps up and down on me, I am not being a racist nor anti-religion, but people use religion for an excuse for anything.

I was bought up a Catholic. I am, and have always been, a non-believer.

Live and let live.
