hi folks,
finally got the omega running nice and quiet, only to hear a hissing noise coming from the top back of the engine, are there any breather pipes about there, if not that any adeas? its a 2.5 v6.
thanks for your time j

You have the 4 pipes on the rear of the "Black Ecotec" Breather, plus you have a couple of vac pipes too :-?

as said, but would bet on vac pipes. Pay close attention to large black pipe plenum to brake servo where it touches/rubs the bulk head, and the small 4 mill ish diameter black pipes that run round the same area. Years of chafing on near by parts can ware them through. Breakers for spares. Tape bodges dont last. Check your multi rams are working when done.

Spray the area lightly with carb cleaner with the engine running, when the engine note changes, thats where the leak is (carb cleaner is sucked in and burns as "extra" fuel"). once leak fixed wipe down with paper towel.
Result : Sorted problems and a nice clean engine :)
