Can anyone help ?
The throttle will work for a few minutes and then stops, nothing at all. there is no idling either, the engine then dies.
Thanks

Just one "general heater plug fault" that would explain the starting problem then ::)
-
Heater or Glow plugs would cause a starting issue, but once it fires up it should be right.

Do you know if codes are stored after the battery has been disconnected ?
-
Some will remain until properly cleared. Mine will show stuff like MAF etc even after re-connected and no issue, but clears within a day or so.
I think it depends on the code and also may vary from car to car.

hmm ecu will stop the fbw working to protect the engine if it detects serious overheating etc so it may do the same thing with other faults??

Whats "fbw"
