Title: losing oil

Hi all even since iv had my miggy its used alot of oil but when i was under the car afew weeks back and all the sump bolts were lose.Anyways i did them up and the car doesnt use as much but still uses abit.the engine is a 2.0 8v with 189,000 on the clock so could it just be because its a high milage car

any blue smoke from exhaust?

If the sump bolts were loose it may be that the gasket could need replacing. it may have been damaged by the loosenig or consequent re-tightening.

Right well i took the car for a spin and no blue smoke just abit of white smoke every now and then.Think it might be the engine is just worn or that the sump needs a new gasket
