Title: how to get air con cooler

just replaced me pump had it all gassed the air is cool but my air con chap said with how cold the return is in the engine bay it should be cooler inside but he doesnt no how to get it cooler inside or what could be stopping it coming threw any ideas lads and lasses

have you tried the re set? Hold off and auto for 5 secs. or until you hear the motors buzzing.

Do the pipes to the heater matrix run cold when the climate is set to maximum cooling  (pipes up inside the driver's footwell on the left hand side, easy to see if you remove the trim panel above the pedals)?

If not, the heater bypass valve is not closing off the coolant supply. Could be a faulty HBV itself or an issue with the vacuum supply to it.

How cold are the vents blowing?

vents are blowing cool but not frezzing cold copared to in the engine bay my aircon man said it just be frezzzing in here to whats hapenin outside in the engine bay
allready did the resest made no difference
 the pipes under the footwell are red hot carnt touch them
does this mean its the hbv then or somthing els and whats the best way to test them
