Title: Code P1555
Post by: Garry M on 29 July 2009, 12:02:20
I had been having problems on my Omega 2.2 CDX flagging code P1555 all the time.
I had poor idle, dips in idle with the AC on and cam cover oil leak due to pressurisation.  Cam cover leak caused oil into plug/coil wells and subsequent misfire.
After sealing the CAM cover with new gasket and sealant the Misfire was gone but code P1555 kept coming back.
I removed the throttle body and gave it a good clean. There is a small bleed hole in the side of the throttle body (about 2mm diameter). (This hole connects to the CAM cover by a small pipe). This was totally blocked with muck. After making sure this hole was clear and all breather pipes were clear , the problem went away.
I intend to clear out this hole with a bit of wire at each service point.
Hope this helps someone with the same issue.

Yes, had the same problem with mine a while back. EML light coming on all the time. Flagged up a 1555. Cleaned breathers and throttle body - EML disappeared and never been seen since.

Do you mean the small hole on the underside of the throttle body bellow the butterfly?
