So a while ago my radiator had a little leak - on the plastic at the top right corner. i fixed it with plastic padding stuff back then, and a couple of times since. however it's gone again and i've had enough of topping up the water! It's in my '99 2.0 estate (GLS mini face, manual with a/c)
as i've got a spare 2.5 v6 cdx sitting around ('96 P, auto), i thought i'd start making use of its parts. this pm removed the radiator with the intention of fitting it to the estate.
however now i'm noticing the auto transmission cooler - any suggestions on what to bung the holes up with as they're not needed on the manual?
Also the secondary air cut-off valve is either in a different place on non-existent on the 2.0
Am i being silly and should just get to a breakers for a 2.0 rad? or is this swap do-able.
I don't want to do another plastic padding repair as i think it's only worked while i've done short journeys. long ones are planned for the summer!
hope for some help, thanks in advance :)

if you fancy a trip to leicester i have a v reg mini facelift 2 ltr thats going for scrap you can help yourself to the rad

it req's some of those fitting bungs (or you could use the heat sender bung thing and whatever the other one is on the passenger side plastic on the rad(should have them))
the secondary air valve is mounted just the passenger side of the head on the 2.0's above the exhaust heat shield fastened onto the pas fluid reservior (it's screwed onto a loop of sheet steel crappy stuff that goes round the bottle)
if i'd have known i had a couple of v6 rads that went to the scrappy that you could have use the said items above to plug the oil cooler holes with :(

thanks for the replies, i'll check out the bungs later to see if they fit :y
for now, another plastic padding application has stemmed the flow, but not completely :(
bluehawk, you have PM :)
