Title: solenoid
Post by: Gubz on 29 July 2009, 13:37:53
I've a Omega B saloon an my front passenger door doesnt open with the central locking button. Brought it to vauxhall cause the door deadlocked itself one day cost my £80 just to get it open an they told me it need a new motor. The thing is the door opens sometimes when i push the button but never locks when i push the button so was wondering maybe its a solenoid problem, any advice on whos right? :y

i had the identical prob, eventually it wouldn,t open with the fob. in my case it was the solonoid.

i believe the solonoid is the motor that drives the door lock mechanism. i,m sure somebody more knowledgeable will put me right, if i,m wrong. i paid £30 for a s/h a new one probably not a lot more.
