Post by: rangerman on 31 July 2009, 17:52:07
Any advise got to work this morning, to see some smoke coming out from under the passanger side bonnet :o, any how was unable to see were it was coming from, until this afternoon, stupid question, but can the crank sensor leak oil? i think i found a picture of the item on the maintenace guide section. i think it is dripping down on the Exhaust.

From my experience it is more likely to be your cam cover gaskets leaking oil :'(.  I would check your plug wells for oil ;) ;)

The CS had an O ring Seal and If I Remember right it sits a bit lower than the exhaust so it wont be your cs leaking oil mate. might be an oil line/pipe or as lizzie said rocker gasket.

When i had the engine running i did see oil drip down from that area, only seemed to leak when the engine was runing, but this maybe normal. :-[

The oil leaking from the cam covers drips on the exhaust manifolds first.

After that it runs down the block and on to the CS (to the right and below the oil filter in the second pic)
