Well, as some might know, took the car for MOT today. She passed fine, but the only bad thing is that i decided today to take the driver (as i was really tired) and go for the MOT. The tinker is not used to driving the Omega - actually, i never let him touch the mig. He only drives the giant SUV - V8 Nissan Armada. Well, he forgot he was not in the Armada but was in the mig (which is LOW while the Armada sit very high!) and he hit the pavement when parking the car (front Irmy bumper) in the car park of a shopping mall. Fortunaly there's not much damage - peeled off paint and small black grill in the bumper a little deformed.
So my question is: does anyone know how I take off the Irmscher front bumper (facelift) and the other thing is that that now, the display in the car show the outside temperature as : F degrees C! Anyone knows how to sort this out? :-/

Well, yeah, as i'm usually busy, i got a driver to take the missus around whenever she needs to. They are cheap to hire round here ... ;)

Not sure about the irmy bumper but it sounds like the external temp sensor has either been dislodged due to the argument with the pavement or has died. On the facelifts iirc it is located in the middle of the bumper, check to see it's connection is tight, if it is then it's probably died, only about £5 from a dealer and takes seconds to replace :y. hth

You may not have damaged a sender, try this:- To change readout from C to F or vicky verky, press & hold AUTO button for three seconds. :y

Anyway, anyone here knows how to remove the Irmscher bumper? The Haynes book of lies does not cover this subject ...
