Title: Knackered Cat!!

My nearside cat has broken up and is very rattly. It obviously happened due to the misfire I had because of a faulty lpg injector and a loose spark plug!!
What are the consequences, apart from the noise, of running the car with the cat in this condition?
Also where is the best place to get a new cat quickly and cheaply?

Generally mate, second hand GM cats are the best option because

a) they rarely fail, and
b) pattern cats sound nasty!

It probably will - any non GM cats are substandard quality really...

Where is the best place to get genuine cat? How much new? How much 2nd hand? Just some rough ideas  :y
