Can anyone tell me because im stupid....if my 2.5 diease cdtd has a cam belt or a chain??? and if so how often it should be changed?

2.5TD is a BMW lump and is chain. Change the oil every 3k MAX!

Yup, a chain.  This makes oil changes even more critical, as changing the chain on those units is officically a head off and sump off job
