upon reading the manual conversion how to guide by matchless,i noticed he said to get the differential and front propshaft(with anti vibration damper),can anyone tell me if these are essential to have.

Too right pete ;D,but i meant do you really need to change the diff,would the one thats on now be ok. :-/

As for the Diff, not sure if you need to change ratios but I'm sure someone will :y.

Propshaft or front half essential...different length.
Diff...you can use the original auto diff but the ratio is a bit short. Use it for a bit and enjoy the acceleration then swap it for a 3.7:1 if you want better economy.

Yes mate,looked at the ratios in haynes book last night,and pre 98 models are exactly the same ratio for auto and manual,very surprised at that.Models after 98 are different for some reason. :y
