Post by: smokingomega on 14 August 2009, 20:45:57
Hi
I was wondering what kind of job it would be to fit a self leveling kit to my 2.5td?
Is it a big job, only reason I want to do it is I tow with the car quite a lot.
Thanks

Your best bet would be to fit spring assisters - far easier, and much more cost effective.  Have a look on the Towsure website - www.towsure.co.uk, and do a search for spring assisters.

Agreed... If mine didn't have it already it's the route I'd go down :y :y

The self levelling system is quite complex, requiring new rear shocks, sensors, cabling and pipework to the sensors/shocks and a compressor unit which is located inside the bumper in front to the o/s front wheel. :(
