Title: opinion about cam sensor needed
Post by: mathewst on 17 August 2009, 11:58:29
I have problems with a cam sensor for a very long time.
"My Naff Code Reader" reports P0340 CamshaftPosition Sensor Signal Missing
Engine management light comes on every  now and then but goes away after turning the cat off and back on.
Is this error the actuall sign the sensor is dead?
Also I'm looking to buy one from the internet and need an opinion about the sensor.
The link is bellow

I couldn't find the original part on ebay anywhere so looked at this one.
Any help or advice would be useful.
Thanks in advance

Hi Mate

A Genuine vauxhall one is £52.90 + VAT. The one on this webb site is €55.90 which at todays exchange rate is 48.24 + shipping i would think.

Yes its a couple of quid cheaper but is it worth it?

Cheers
Andy

Yes Andy I know it isn't much cheaper but I can't find the original on ebay anywhere and the stores in Uk don't usually support paypal or don't ship worldwide :(
