Sounds like your top hose has said goodbye dear world and shuffled off to its mortal coil., Easy job to do mate, replace the hose and clips and refill with 50/50 mix coolant you should be good to go. did you run the engine in the red on the gauge or stop very soon.

If you could put up a couple of pics it might help to identify the parts and how to fix them :y

You need to host your pictures somewhere like Photobox or Photobucket. You then make a link from there to here

The top pic, the pipe on your finger is a vac pipe, the other red circle is around an aircon pipe. The second picture looks like a secondary air injection pipe has gone which would explain how the other pipes have melted due to hot exhaust gasses.

cheers for that mate.

right the first pic is the small black pipe on the right that is nt connected to anything and the end is melted.

the sliver thing on the left that is circled relates to the pipe with the small circle round in pic 2 that has been a small hole burnt through.

the other ring in pic 2 is a small piece of pipe that is missing its only about 2 inch long.

can any body identify theese for me and tell me what i  need to do and the best place to get parts cheap or free as i have just lost my job.

The pipe in your finger is a vac pipe and will run behind the two large black inlet pipes to either a T piece half way up at the rear of the pipes or a square box (vac tank) which should have another pipe the same running to it also at the rear of the pipes but at the bottom left.

The second one, the silver thing is a aircon pipe and if it wasn't working I wouldn't bother replacing it.

From what I can see, the cause of the problem is the 2" piece of pipe which is the SAI pipe and goes to the exhaust manifold. It has obviously come off and allowed hot gasses to melt the other pipes. That could have gone due to blocked cats. There must be another pipe gone somewhere because the ones in pic dont carry water. It might be an idea to put water in and see where its leaking from.
