Title: Missfiring v6 problem new cat fitted also

Recently decided to put my 3.0 back on the road took it out for a drive prior to MOT yesterday ...It ran ok  abit ratttly underneath mind but then just started missing & throwing in the odd back fireing too, so as mot was booked in let it go  "It Passed " bareing in mind the the engine was missing when revved up  & lacks power it picks up better with (S) button on but still not right..So after determining the cat was rattling I popped over to the local exhaust fitter & he fit me a new cat one side only this morning but alas not much better it is a little still the backfire (bang) etc
So just tried the paperclip test , now providing I'm doing it right with or without engine running it just flashes 1 2 thats all !
Just going to try again

Retried paperclip test all I'm getting is  1.2 then 31  as engine isnt running
Just started it up  big backfireing  when revved   ...

HELP :'(
