Title: Torque settings

Can anyone tell me the Torque settings for the camshaft bearing caps on a 2.2 DTi.

Hi Pete

According to TIS

Attach camshaft bearing caps to cylinder head and tighten in a spiral pattern fron inside outwards 1/2 to 1 turn in the sequence listed. Torque 15nm or 11lbf


back of engine
                        sequence @ 1/2 to 1 turn at a time

BEARING CAP 5  4TH

BEARING CAP 4  2ND

BEARING CAP 3  1ST

BEARING CAP 2  3RD

BEARING CAP 1  5TH

Front of Engine

Hope that helps, just pulle them down a bit at a time otherwise you could snap the Cam

Only 15nm, I think I had better undo them a tad before I run it again ::)
