Title: Tesco car shampoo
Post by: GastronomicKleptomaniac on 03 December 2007, 14:37:40
With the amount of salt, grime, and general filth getting flicked onto the paint and wheels of my car, I thought I'd get a tub of Tesco's wash & wax shampoo stuff. £3 for 2 litres, ideal price for mixing up thick and applying generously. I'm hugely impressed, it's ideal for pre-cleaning the body and wheels - before using the "posh stuff" to finish.
Used it with a rough sponge on the wheels, followed by a Wonder Wheelsing... and then some Mer wheel wax - also a new try, a fiver from Ebay, and we'll see how it stands up to the weather over the next week or so.

How about a "product review" forum/ section/ sticky/ whatever? I use dozens of things on my car that I'm forever being asked about... and I can do better writeups than the above, if necessary...

:)Tesco Shampoo sounds good. I Also use the Halfords (in a blue gallon container) One cap in a bucket of water, foams up & washes a treat, easy rinse so easy shammy (do'nt leave them wet lads & lasses)
Sadly discretion & withdrawal of supplies forbids me from disclosing where i scource my so easy on/off polish, wheel cleaner, tyre trim blacks etc. but i would recommend clear squirty windowleene for your glass & a product in the same squeezy type bottle called "Big Orange" for your dash/trim. Gives a new look without being too shiney, usually found in poundstores etc. but well worth searching out.
    Happy valeting!!!!!!!!!!! :y

Car washers I can not trust any more..

They damage the car more than cleaning!

Better wash myself even in minus freezing my hands!!

Not sold to retail - best to search on Ebay.

And I hired a 2.9TDI Kia through work. What a load of shite. 1 pedal missing and absolutely no guts - stick with the Voyager :y
