Hi
I had the injection pump overhauled at the beginning of this year which fixed the 'warm start' problem I had - thanks to everyone for the help with this. After this the car started and ran very well - but the fuel consumption seemed to increase by around 20%.
Last month (July) I noticed that the car seemed to be losing power. It seems to happen most when the car is 'coasting' (i.e. under engine braking, not in neutral) down a longish hill - at the bottom of the hill the car seems to have no power and will only maintain speed - it doesn't have enough power to accelerate. I'm not sure if this is linked but the fuel consumption seems to be getting better too - it's gone back to around 34-36mpg cross country and around 40mpg on a 70mph run... (it had gone down to 28mpg cross country and 34mpg on a run...)
I've carried out a paperclip test and get the following codes:
12 - start of sequence
14 - coolant temperature low
44 - incorrect boost pressure
49 - glow device error
95 - output amplifier defect
12 - start of sequence
(the explanations of the codes are from the forum pages...)
Any pointers or suggestions would be very welcome!
The car is a 1998 Omega Elite Estate 2.5 Turbo Diesel Automatic and its done 188k miles.
If anyone is nearby with Tech2 or similar and would be kind enough to take a look (and even be compensated for this!) I'm very happy to drive over - I'm near High Wycombe in Bucks
Thanks
Chris

That sounds like it could be helpful, thank you. I am in South Bucks so I guess it'll be an hour or so. If you could let me know your location (pm me if you prefer) and when it'd be convenient I'll try and get up to see you (I'm not sure I can make it today...)
