Title: oil in wrong place

hi all went to check my plugs in my 99 (x) 2.5 v6 today as car been running humpy  >:( , once i removed plug leads found that 6 6 plugs were swimming in oil  :o is this just the rocker cover gaskets if so how much are they and can i do it myself (i did them on my vecy v6)

sounds like rocker gaskets.Like i found out only fit genuine Vx gaskets with their black goo.Don't forget to fit new O rings

Hi Andy,

They're easy enough to do just make sure you use genuine parts, a torque wrench and clean the breathers. Cost for the genuine bits with a trade card is about £65.
