Title: Rocker cover gaskets V6
Post by: Goonybird on 20 September 2009, 18:51:53
Just spent today doing the Rocker cover gaskets and cleaning the breather system. However I appear to have a pipe without a home. This appeared while I was re-assembling everything.
So ideas as to where it plugs in "on a postcard"  :)
But preferably on this forum.
Mrs G not happy as she now has to walk to work tomorrow, "Of course I'll have it done today dear."  ::)

Does the engine start and run ok. EML off. May be the gearbox breather pipe

As Rob says above, if its about 10mm in diameter its more then likely the gearbox breather and doesn't connect to anything, so long as you have the Y shaped pipes on the breathers :y

Thanks guys. So looks like gearbox breather. That could explain a lot. Stopped putting everything back, until I was certain.
Will have to leave till wednesday now.

And as an aside to anyone putting this job off. Don't!!
All the spark plug wells were full of oil.  :o
