Title: ABS & TC lights on Dash
Post by: Botman on 29 September 2009, 12:36:46
Hi guys, new to this forum and wondered if anyone could help. Both of the ABS & TC lights are permanently on and there is also a little bit of smoke coming out from under the bonnet! are these related? any idea of costs? or does it sound terminal.  I am just trying to avoid paying £55 for diagnostics so any help would be appreciated.

Does the speedo still work as this is fed from the ABC/TC control unit which sounds like it has failed.

Where are you located - update your members profile with some more info to see if one of the guys who does servicing is close by.

If the speedo is fine it could be a faulty brake switch.
As for the smoke have you popped the bonnet to see where it comes from it could be a leaky seal

Paper clip & pedal test only do engine fault codes.  ;)
