Folks - as I needed to replace the exhaust on my 2.2 auto, I recently followed with interest a recent topic on here where one of the members was asking if anyone had used the following:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EXHAUST-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-B-2-2-144HP-99-03-SALOON-451_W0QQitemZ390094460253QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item5ad371155d&_trksid=p3911.c0.m14
As the best price I could get for a replacement locally was £220, I decided to place an order on Friday evening. The new exhaust arrived Thursday and was fitted Saturday. (Delivery would have been even quicker had I not placed the order on a Friday evening and it lay all weekend!)
Fair enough, I had to pay £20 delivery charge but, in total, I was still able to save £60. (We are in a recession after all!!!)
Quality stainless steel product that was reletively easy enough to fit but, I'm sure, would be far easier for those of you with more skill ( and the proper equipment!!) than I. :-[
I would have no hesitation in recommending Neu Car Parts to anyone on here. :)
Thanks again to this forum for the guidance & advice.

Hi
Are you sure it was stainless steel. I bought an exhaust from them and it was made of aluminised steel (the standard stuff that exhausts are made of) not stainless. I complained to Nue Car Parts and got £30 off. The quality was fine, the fit was not perfect, but it was acceptable, some of the rubbers are pulled some way out of vertical. Nue said that they would change their description, but it looks like they haven't!

I'd be very surprised if it's stainless at that price.

same advert i been watching, how does it sound? all boxes and pipes for a 3.2 estate £115 + 20 p&p says rear box is stainless, still may put one in the shed. too good to miss

Prices aren't dissimilar to eternalcar.com, TBH, and a few members can vouch for their products. Mine from Eternal isn't as quiet as an OEM system but for 120 quid It'll do nicely and it's much better quality than the average fast-fit exhaust.
Having said that, eternal don't list 2.2/2.6/3.2 AFAIK - although a 3.0 exhaust fitted mine OK with a pair of tailpipe trims.

Will a 3 litre exhaust fit my 2.6 estate?
-
I'd say yes, it'll fit. Difference between 2,5/3,0 and 2,6/3,2 exhaust is only the back box, 3,x-engines have two pipes out, 2,x-engines only one.
Saloon is different from Estate.
Not 100% sure if 2,5 is the same as in 2,6 and 3,0 same with 3,2 but IIRC there are no differences.

So I'd need one for a 3-litre estate?
