ive noticed a fusty smell which would seem at first to be damp carpets, but everything is dry inside, no leaks anywhere, on another thread i was enquiring about an auxillary heater which is disconnected, im wondering is there a connection, could there be stale water/fluid lying in the ac system and sending the smell through the vents? is that possible? would a flush help?..thnx

had the same problem a few years ago found out it was growth inside air con system used a bottle of a/c cleaner and what a difference , have used it on all my vehicles ever since costs about a tenner from most auto factors found halfords a bit more you will need somewhere safe to allow the car to be left running without you for 15 to 20 mins hth

Both previous answers are a good bet for getting rid of the smell. The A/C Cleaner aerosol is especially effective and you may want to use one every six months or so. Try e-bay, I got mine from there for under six quid inc. postage! :y

Under the scuttle panel on the passenger side.
Lift the bonnet, peel off the rubber seal on the lip of the scuttle panel at the rear of the engine compartment. A section of the scuttle panel lifts out and the pollen filter is lurking underneath it.

you will have to run the a/c with the cleaner running inside with all windows and doors closed always looks alarming at first as car fogs up , driveway will be fine just as long as you can keep an eye on your pride and joy :y
