how do I remove the vacuum unit black bit on top of the plenum Ive snapped one of the oultlets clumsy I know but now need to put it back together soon had to replace oil cooler
-
click off the ecotech cover with a screwdriver, then 1 or 2 bolts :y
there is a fragile rubber 'tophat' o-ring type thing that will likely want replacing as well if you disturb it.

thanks for promt reply will defo be more careful in future.

Better to unbolt the throttle body first, then lift off the breather assy. When reassembling get the new funny shaped seal properly seated then offer up the throttle body with new o rings if necessary.

thanks again im learning more all the time. only thing im concerned about doing is timing belt. do i just need to lock camshafts or the crank as well
-
You need the full locking kit, the cam locks simply stop the cams snapping round and bending valve stems while the belt is off; the crank lock is also the tool that sets the crank exactly at TDC. The spectacle timing gauge is used to accurately set the individual cam timings....the notches in the backplate are only used to get a rough position for fitting the belt.
