I know I didn't buy my MV6 with fuel ecnomy in mind - who would? - but I did buy it with the intention of looking into an LPG install.
I remember a friend's GSi Carlton feeling identical whilst cruising on the motorway, and no slouch otherwise!
I doubt I'll be seriously thinking about it until the new year, but that could change as I know fuel will always go up more significantly than come down in price.
Plus the fact that the oil industry is showing signs of picking up means that fuel prices will almost definitely rise as the frail economy starts to grow again.
This could mean an investment into an install sooner rather than later.
Can anyone tell me what I need, or have any particular recommendations?

Contact Lazydocker for the details of the supplier. About 700 quid for a DIY kit - everything you need. :y
Some installation photos here http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1216678718
Fuel cost afterwards about 13p/mile. 19 MPG from a 3.2 auto doing mixed driving.

Just what Kevin just said ;)
They are a good quality product, and super quite too.
A man of your calibre should have no problem with the install, and if you do then there is a lot of knowledge on here :y
Go for it Pete

Go for it.
The secret i found is knowing what to do before doing it. With the instructions supplied and the info on here your half way there. That and not taking too long to get the project under way, ahem. The sooner its fitted it the more money saved.
Front end kit is well covered on here and, if you need the car, can be fitted in a weekend, rear end is dependent on the tank you choose to suit your purposes, and can be fitted the next weekend.
Most go for a big as possible cylinder behind the rear seats. But i needed the through space so chose a donut tank in the spare wheel well reduced range but i'm lucky enough to have 4 or 5 lpg stations very near my commute.
Also helps to speak to an approved installer and find out whats expected to pass safety certification for insurance purposes on the fuel line routing to connect the two up and away you go.
Electrics all run into the fuse box for the whole install, rather than running wires all over the car, and is the only bit i bottled as i'm crap with electrics.Eternally greatfull to Kevin Wood for that job and input, and Lazydocker for his spare manifold in case i buggered mine up and general help, i guess the manifold is still out there for exchange/loan?
