Title: Remote stopped working, 2.5 v6 Elite

The remote was working fine and locked ok, then neither fob would unlock and had to unlock with key. Now they won't lock or unlock by remote,batteries are ok.
I have had keys go out of sync. with the immobilser and had to have them reprogrammed on dealers computer at £77.00! Is this a similar problem and is there an alternative to the Dealer again?

Resync costs nothing - Ign to II, then press the buttons a couple of times - car locks then unlocks to confirm.

If that fails, where in Northants are you - I'm Brackley.

I had something similar. Battery was going a bit in the remote so I changed it. Then it wouldnt work at all. Turned ignition on, pressed all the buttons several times. Didnt work. Tried again a few times. Nothing. Went inside to sulk and get a coffee came back out and hit the remote and on the second press of the lock button it just started working. Been fine ever since.

So suggest you do the re-sync then if it doesnt work have a sulk and a coffee and hey presto :)

Everything seems better after a sulk and a coffee :)

I take it this method doesn't work when trying to programme in two brand new fobs then?
