Title: engine cutting out

hi Ive got a vauxhall omega 2.0 GLS petrol automatic every time It stops at traffic lights or stops anywhere for more than a minuet the engine cuts out Ive tried it in neutral gear and park gear and it still dose it but it always starts first time do you have any ideas what it could be. thanks mark

Probably Idle control valve needs cleaning, 30 min job max.

And if/when you find that doing the above hasn't fixed it, look at this thread: http://www.omegaowners.com/forum/YaBB.pl?num=1194007453 where Grumpy explains it all, including clearing a little breather jet which is often problematic.

i had the same prob on my p plate vectra sri, my mate told me what the problem was and what to do so i just threw him the keys and told him to get on with it as i was going out lol, he cleaned just about everything and even replaced my maf as mine was knacked
