Title: Key Blades...
Post by: tunnie on 08 December 2007, 21:22:23
I just bought a Astra key like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-2-BUTTON-FLIP-REMOTE-KEY-FOB-ASTRA-VECTRA-ETC_W0QQitemZ150190382758QQihZ005QQcategoryZ10404QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Would a blade like this:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/OPEL-VAUXHALL-KEY-CALIBRA-OMEGA-SIGNUM-SINTRA-VECTRA-G_W0QQitemZ120190881020QQihZ002QQcategoryZ10404QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Fit the Astra Key??

Not convinced it will Tunnie.........

I think the blade on the 2nd link is for non flip keys.

Best to wait until the fob arrives.......then you can see what sort of blade you need.....but i suspect the base of the blade on the flip fob will be bigger.....

Unless anyone knows  :-/

That what i thought, it looks a bit odd. Not quite right for the fob.

Also out of interest Omega key fobs, if you press and hold the close button with windows open, they will go up.

Can the Astra fob close button be re-programmed to pop the boot on facelifts, if the close button is held? - Long shot! But worth a question.
