Hi guys my car is a 2001 2.2 Facelift and on the centre console i have the alarm button and the bootlid button but the middle one is blanked out. What should go here, some ive looked at seem to have a TC button.
wheres mine :'(
-
your right its TC, never fitted to 2.2 petrol, and it can't be retro fitted either, bottom blank space is for the rear blind
-
May sound thick but does this mean the 2.2 dosen't have traction control?

Its was never fitted, therefore no. 2.2 does not have traction control.
-
Not enough power on a 4 pot to warrent TC ::) ::) Only fitted to V6's :y :y :y

Only with plastic rock hard tyres can you get the damn thing to get sideways ;D
-
So opening a can of worms then, i've got no TC missing two cylinders ;) anything else my car is likely to be missing ;D ;D

They are just jealous, because their oil filter is a pain to get to and ours is easy as pie.

I can get mine sideways though ... not extremley... but it will go sideways (Epically cheap tyres :p )

When I saw "Missing Button" I thought a certain F1 driver had gone walkabout!
Coat's on, heading for exit................

Always thought about it, but my 2.2 is so darn reliable. Now i just sit on the M40/M25 for my commute. 2.2 sits at 80mph all day long, just as good as a V6. So going to get my miles out of it for another year or two.

Dear dear me Tunnie, you just ain't driving it properly. I could get my old 96 2 litre to break away nicely and that was auto. :y

I'm 40 and I pay about £370 for the works on my 2.5 V6 Elite estate. I shopped around and could have got it a bit cheaper, but would have had to pay in one lump sum.
I would have crashed mine by now if it weren't for TC. The roundabout under J5 of the M27 is a bugger in the wet - even seen a Sierra Cosworth drifting it in the early hours!!
-
I feel old now. I pay £300 fully comp for my MV6 and that's with no ncb. :P
-
I should be paying next to nothing but apparently no points, no claims in the last five years but having been on company policies for the last 8 years dosen't help when your in your
mid late twenties ;D ;D
