Morning all.
How easy is it to replace the anti roll bar bushes?
This is the last job that I need to do to get my car through it's MOT and VX have quoted me £50 to sort it out.
Apologies for the question but I keep forgetting to look in the Haynes manual and I can't find a"how to" for anti roll bars.
TIA :)

Dead easy and not expensive from Vx iirc.

Well VX have quoted me £33 for an anti roll link bar and according to Ebay, I can pick them up from £4.99 and up. However, not all the Ebay pictures are the same:

Can anyone tell me if any of these are the right ones?

Looked at an old invoice dated 05/09/2005 and the second one on your list quotes the same part number as vx but they all look the same, guess they would all fit???. Price has gone up a bit scince 2005 price on invoice is £23.45 +vat.

They are droplinks not anti-roll bar bushes. What is it you actually want to replace :question

The MOT tester has written "Near side front anti roll bar link - worn joint"
Which is what I thought I was looking at?
PS: Rear brakes work a treat ;D

He's refering to the Drop Links, not the anti-roll bar "D" bushes.
Easy job and not expensive. You'll need 2 to replace both sides.

Just ordered a pair of drop links from Ebay, hopefully they might arrive in time for me to fit them at the weekend.
Thanks for all your help!

You can save a bit of effort if you get some plusgas or rust flash onto the nuts ahead of the weekend.
Droplinks are normally just stiff to undo and get off but just occasionally you come across one which is a real sod.
